In homeopathy, a “remedy picture” is the cluster of characteristics traditionally linked to a remedy — the moods, sensations, and “better or worse when…” details. Learning to read one is the single most useful literacy skill in this whole course.

What a remedy picture usually includes

• A general theme or mood (for example, weepy and wanting comfort, or irritable and hard to please).
• “Modalities” — what traditionally makes the picture feel better or worse, such as fresh air, warmth, rest, or company.
• Notable physical descriptions associated with the remedy in the tradition.

How to actually read one

1. Read the whole description, not just one word that jumps out.
2. Notice it is describing a pattern, not naming a disease.
3. Treat it as a story about how the remedy is talked about — interesting background, not a diagnosis of your child.

A remedy picture describes a remedy. It never diagnoses a person. Only a qualified professional can tell you what is actually going on with your child.
